During our winter holiday, we had a chance to ride on I’d say the best downhill trails in Ontario. We’ve used a GoPro camera to capture the footage, we’re not pro snowboarders so we ended up mixing royalty free footage to make the edit more entertaining and epic! Here are the 5 tips on how you can use royalty free footage and music to add to your video’s creatively! #1) IT’S THE SOUND OF MUSIC – Finding music is one of the most important things in a GoPro video because GoPro cameras do not capture sound well. You will definitely need a separate audio capturing device or add music to it in post production, that was what we did. I found that the best free music can be downloaded at Ben Sound, Josh Woodward, and Global Sound Promotion. Youtube also offers royalty free music, you can also check out Jamendo and Incompetech. This blog will explain the basics of how a student filmmaker can create intense Hollywood action sequences similar to the video above. The talent in our short film had limited experience with combat, but with a bit of training coupled with rehearsal and some editing tricks, we were able to pull of an exciting fight sequence. Camera Fighting With No Experience!
January 4, 2017 in Video Editing, Video Production | Comments Off on Camera Fighting With No Experience!
Adjusting the zombie’s hand to get the right shot! This blog will explain how we learned to make a fight look real on camera with no experience while at the same time producing Hollywood results (or so I hope!) The technique described in this write up was used in our newly released short horror flick starring Lee Lawson and Greg Willmot – be sure to catch them in action in our pilot Forgotten Corpses. Also check out our Facebook page and our brand new website! The entire film took 2 months to put together from having the initial idea all the way to completion just in time for Halloween which was released on Youtube. Challenges arouse when trying to make the fight look as realistic as possible as we had no prior martial arts experience. We’ve casted our actors based on talent, so the movements performed needed to be simple and needed to …
