A full-frame digital single-lens reflex camera has an image sensor that is equal to a 35mm film frame. Other cameras, including SLRs, usually have a smaller sensor as they are less costly to manufacture. The full-frame DSLR has many advantages compared to non-full frame DSLRs, including that they have a wide angle of view and larger pixels, which creates a lower noise level if a higher ISO level is used. This can allow these cameras to have better video or better photographs in low-light conditions. Some cameras are equipped with a super 35mm sensor. Both of these types of sensors are based on mimicking the size of 35mm film, but a full frame camera’s sensor is larger with a frame height equal to 35mm film.
